General Questions for Black America - BPS Poll Results Black People Speak asked 166 grassroots Black Americans to give a voice to general issues in today's society. The answers represent what the masses of Black America think and feel despite what media-profiled Blacks report to America and what white America's universities and biased media polls depict to the rest of the nation and world. Below are common issues and the answers:
When asked: Do you believe Blacks in America are doing well overall? Out of the four possible responses, more Blacks lean toward realizing that the state of Black America is not at its best and needs improvement.
When asked: How many times have you experienced racism in any form (blatant or subtle). An overwhelming majority of Blacks have experienced a form of racism more than once in their lives, while 1% admit to experiencing none.
When asked: Which Black organization do you feel is doing the best work of advancing the agenda of Blacks in America? According to a majority of Blacks, Black organizations are not doing enough to advance the causes and issues of Black America.
When asked: Do you agree with abortion? Though many Blacks agree that abortion should be performed in certain cases, they, and more others believe that it should never be an option as opposed to it being an option.
When asked: Do you believe homosexuality is a natural in life. Regardless of what mainstream America portrays about Blacks, Blacks are overwhelmingly against homosexuality as an act of nature.
When asked: Overall, do you believe the churches in Black community are helping or harming the community? In a tight margin, more Blacks believe that the Black church is harming the Black community more than helping it. The above issues and answers are from the mouths of Black America, thus from this point forward, anything other than what is above - i.e. media reports and made-Black profilers - can definitely be counted as insignificant and worthless.
